In 1991, with many years of experience, co-owners Roger Kohler and Kermit King opened the industrial division of SMK. This division thrived on quality, proficiency, communication and integrity, which in essence is simply customer satisfaction. The main objective of SMK’s industrial division is to provide each customer a quick and professional turn-around with turnkey operation. With highly qualified union craftsmen on board, SMK’s ability to provide quality projects is superior.
In 2005 SMK Tri-Cities became an independent sheet metal company, strongly specializing in industrial work. SMK strives to be customer centric, which has allowed them to expand into all aspects of the sheet metal trade, including air handling systems, architectural metal roofing systems, plant maintenance and custom metal works from most alloys of metal. SMK recently added a state-of-the-art water jet cutting system, which has broadened their horizons to the next level. With their combined years of experience, SMK can provide their customers with outstanding support in all their construction needs.
In 2018, Patrick and Jenna Flumerfelt purchased SMK-Tri Cities. They started strong with their experience, knowledge, and passion for the industry to the company, and they are excited to continue on the mission and vision of the company.
